How can I become a Camillus Park volunteer?

The Friends of Camillus Park became a not for profit, 501(c)(3) to partner with the Parks and Recreation to revitalize Camillus Park. We have been very successful in assisting in maintaining the forest trails and picnic area, bringing new activities into the Park and fund raising to purchase additional projects. As a Not for Profit, we all are volunteers and welcome anyone who wishes to join as a volunteer. Volunteers are needed for:
  • Trail Maintenance and signage Committee, meets second Saturday of month 9:00Am to 11:00AM.
  • Assist with the Pickle Ball Play
  • Assist with planning and set up of Tail Gate Parties
  • Entertain at Tail Gate events (play an instrument or sing, or another form of entertainment)
  • Join the "Camillus Dash to the Splash" Committee
    1. Planning sessions begin in January
    2. Be a Road Guard
    3. Lay out the Race route
    4. Water stops
    5. etc.
  • Persons with computer skills and/or media skills
  • Grant writing
  • Suggest and chair fundraisers
